i am having a hard time trying to find the detailed synthesis of RhCl(CO)(PPh3)2 from the literature.
If anybody has any luck finding it, post the reference and how exactly you found it, please.

I did a search for your compound formula, exactly as you wrote it, in the JACS electronic search. It seemed to come up in conjunction with
Wilkinson's catalyst and indeed looked much like it. That's what drew my eye to certain articles as being more promising than others.
As you can see from the opening paragraph of the article, Rh(Cl)(CO)(PPh3)2 is formed whenever you use Wilkinson's catalyst to decarbonylate a
substrate. So prepare your Wilkinson's catalyst, apply it to your favorite aldehyde, and recover the Rh(Cl)(CO)(PPh3)2. I've never used
Wilkinson's catalyst, but given the price of rhodium I'm sure a lab exercise using it will have instructions for recovering the
rhodium-containing complex, and you can presumably find such an exercise on your own.
