How to make a Gas Liquid Diffuser, Bubbler ?

LuckyWinner - 3-2-2019 at 10:13

I need a diffuser, bubbler for mainly liquid.

im running a reaction where I need to bubble a liquid solution into another solution.
pressure is getting high so the diffuser needs to hold some pressure.

any recommendations?
needs to be chemically resistant and be able to handle a 10% sulfuric acid solution.

I already blew 2 diffuser tops off and have 2 emtpy glass tubes now.

how much pressure?
can you show the diffusers you blew off? maybe a smaller diameter could work.
on ebay they sell glass acquarium co2 diffusers and ceramic ones.

what about using heat welding to attach an aquarium bubbler to a piece of vinyl tubing. I've tried high temp hot melt glue and it blew off in a ~10% ammonia solution at about 150F.

I'm guessing other glues or epoxies would work (jb weld and such) to glue the bubble stone onto the hose.

What size tube diameter and how long? Do you just need the tube, one on a jointed top, or the whole bubbler assembly?
