Hot hand protectors, also called flask holders, or just hot hands is a piece of lab equipment used by chemists to hold beakers that contain a hot solution.
General
Hot hand protectors consist of two "slipper"-like pockets, where the hand is introduced. The other side has numerous protuberances, which are meant to aid in holding the beaker. Hot hand protectors are made of a rubbery and thermally insulating polymer.
Availability
Hot hand protectors can be bought from lab suppliers or online.
