Category:Iodine oxoanions
From Sciencemadness Wiki
Anions formed between iodine and oxygen, including hypoiodite (IO-), iodate (IO−
3), and periodate (metaperiodate IO−
4 and orthoperiodate IO5−
6). Unlike the chlorite and bromite anion, iodite anion (IO−
2) is too unstable to exist and rapidly converts to iodine and iodate.
