GAA from 80% AA using MgSO4 and atm destilliation

Hi

I need GAA and buying it would be very expensive, 80% AA, however is very cheap here, and so is MgSO4.

So I am thinking, pour MgSO4 into the chilled 80% AA until nothing more dissolves and then some, decant the AA and destillat at 100 C, both to separate the AA from the water but also to leave the dissolved MgSO4 and possible AA Mg/sulphate complexes or whatever behind.

Would that give me GAA? Or would it be pure enough to use in a aldehyde/nitroalkane condesation? I intend to mix the purified AA with dried ethanol containing pure ammonia gas (made by putting NH4Cl in EtOH followed by an equimolar amount of NaOH) to make say 10% ammonium acetate in GAA? Would it be pure enough for that?
