Can Nickel Boride be prepared without NaBH4?

I couldn't google out any preparation of Nickel Boride that doesn't use NaBH4. Borohydride is unavailable to me.

Does anyone know any preparation of it whithout hydrides?

Perhaps by passing borane into a nickel(II) salt solution? The borane can be prepared by the action of mineral acid on magensium boride, itself prepared by the action of magnesium on borax or boric oxide. Trying to separate the actual boride from the slag of other products can be an issue, as far as I recall.

Don't waste any more time. Find another catalyst, or find access to NaBH4. If there is an easy alternate synthesis for Nickel Boride, I cannot imagine what it might be.
