Calcium(II)Acetate and methylbenzene ?
This idea came from the reaction mechanizem of calciumhypochlorite and toluene, the
cloride is attached onto the benzylic carbon, no the qiuet the same reaction works for calcium(II)acetate ? I need some confirmation hear

Nope. Benzylic chlorination follows a free radical mechanism and is done by chlorine gas, which is produced by calcium hypochlorite as an
intermediate. Calcium acetate won't react with toluene.
