Thanks! I was hoping it wouldn't be too boring since I didn't do any chemistry. There's lots more info on Be that I wasn't able to include. Most
interesting to me is that BeO is a great thermal conductor but a poor electrical conductor, which is very unusual. It's used as a ceramic for some
electrical components as an electrically insulating heat sink. I wish I had a piece; I would have included it in the video.
I appreciate the support from everyone At the rate I'm going I should reach
Americium in about 13 years!

Hi sciencemadness fellows. I am finally made a new video, this time, I am experimenting with the thermite (I know it is not original anymore ).
My knowledge regarding the pyrotechnic and high energy releasing compounds somewhat poor. However, in this video, I am working with thermite to test
for its welding properties without a proper equipment.
Unfortunately, the test was unsuccessful but in any case, I am sharing this video. I hope someone will find it educational.

Good experiment! I posted a comment on the video with some thoughts. If blogfast stops by, he's the resident thermite expert and can probably give you
some more tips.
Edit: link for aga: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Asex8NekCx8
(I don't want to derail this thread about Ashot's channel with my own videos. I just mentioned it because of the music issue.)

MrHomeScientist, would be nice to hear some tips from an expert.
To be honest, pyrotechnic is something I am trying to avoid. Even igniting thermite on such a small scale made me feel a little insecure.
Thank you for your explanation it made things clearer.

Cool. No actual chemistry but a good video.
Can't blame you for not messsing with it.
Most Chemistry just requires good planning and balls of steel, and you will probably live.
Other Chemistry might require a replacement body or parts thereof.

Hi everyone, it has been a while since I visited science madness last time. However, I filmed and edited a new video and I hope you guys will like it.

This time, I am making fuming nitric acid by the reaction of sodium nitrate and concentrated sulphuric acid. This reaction perhaps is the most
dangerous I conducted so far and I had to take a safety protocol seriously. Also in the UK possession and usage of nitric acid is restricted by the
law and may lead to the sentence in prison for up to two years. Considering the quantities I produced in this video and my purpose I believe I won't
get into too much trouble. However, if I will end up in prison, well science worth it. I just make sure I don't drop the soap.

Hello friends, I made a new video where I am making nitrocellulose by the nitration of cotton wool. Also, I am including the demonstrations of the
ignition in real time and slow motion. I hope you will enjoy the video, thank you.

Hi everyone, I have not been making many videos in a while. Anyway, I bought the new filming equipment and decided to make a video about bio-ethanol
and how to make it.
I believe, it won't be an educational value for many sciencemadness members. However, I hope at least few people will find it useful. Thanks for
watching.
