Storing silica gel under solvent?

I need silica gel as a catalyst that is done in a solvent (acetone).

I presume the silica gel is not consumed nor deactivated being a catalyst, so it could be reused.

So could I just rinse the gel with acetone from the remnants of the reaction and then store it in a bottle under pure acetone to be reused for the same process later?

I think you probably could as long as it is used for the same reaction.
