Ususual polymer?

We all know what hapens when you mix borax with glue, and get a slimey polymer... but a while back I was doing experiments- and I know aluminum is related to boron... Finially, I found the formulation.

Make a saturated solution of aluminum potassium sulphate.
Now, squeeze in PVA glue.
You now have a weird, stringy polymer.

Can anyone help identify this?

PVA is a polymer! Are you sure you don't just have glue with a lot of aluminum salts dissolved in it?

It's possible that the water was 'sucked' from the glue via osmosis, which congealed it.

You have cross-linked PVA. Google "PVA slime".
