We all know what hapens when you mix borax with glue, and get a slimey polymer... but a while back I was doing experiments- and I know aluminum is
related to boron... Finially, I found the formulation.
Make a saturated solution of aluminum potassium sulphate.
Now, squeeze in PVA glue.
You now have a weird, stringy polymer.
Can anyone help identify this? fledarmus - 13-10-2011 at 04:16
PVA is a polymer! Are you sure you don't just have glue with a lot of aluminum salts dissolved in it?barley81 - 13-10-2011 at 07:56
It's possible that the water was 'sucked' from the glue via osmosis, which congealed it.watson.fawkes - 13-10-2011 at 16:29
