cheap zeolites
I'm looking for a cheap source of zeolites that would function in the 3-5A range.
Thanks,

There's a ventilation company in arizona that sells what you're looking for as dessicants for industry. Not sure if you can buy less than a drum, but
they sent me a couple ounces of 3A as a free sample last summer. Don't know the name of the company, but I believe it's on the first page on google.
If you see me running, try to keep up.

There are several stores that cater to commercial, compressed-air drying. If you google (for instance) "3A molecular sieves" there will be several in
the first 20-30 that aren't lab suppliers.

These two sell 25lb pails for around the US$90 mark. Delta Adsorbents has a much better selection in pore and mesh size.

They're not the best price, but still not extremely bad for the small quantity. I have about 5lbs of these, and they work wonders.

There are some surplus ones being sold around as star rolling cores. Not sure on their quality, or usefulness, but you can't argue with the price.

I don't know how willing you are to try OTC, but the white "ammonia absorber" rocks that you buy at the aquarium store are clinoptiolite zeolite.
From the US patent 4496585:
Commercially available natural clinoptiolite type zeolite having a particle diameter of 1.6 mm and an effective pore diameter of about 3.5 Å
