Starting a home lab in 1932

I found images that I saved on my computer, that I found on a website at some point and since forgot where. All I know is that it is from a 1932 issue of Popular Science.
Note on the last page the add for the chemistry set from the porter chemical house. I believe it is of the type spoken of in "Uncle Tungsten":P

At the end of the article it says this column will be continued, presumably on a monthly basis. If any one has these feel free to put them up.

I am currently in the process(acrobat pro is messing with me) of putting together several more of these pdfs, as I found the images on my HD, I would love to know where they came from:( and if more exist.

There is one on chlorine gas I also posted in a thread in Legal and Societal but I will repost it here.
Some are of greater content than beginnings(such as the home HF one which I will put together next, or the Hg one) but for completeness, they will all be in this thread.

@ The Davster

I don't want to be a killjoy....:D

But I think you'll find all these on the modernmechanix website along with many other "weird stunts".
