What is with the search function?
Seriously, whenever I do a search, click on a result to see what's there, then hit the back button I always get a "webpage expired" thing. I always
have to repeat the search string to get back to the results. It's super annoying. Is this normal or do I have bad settings in this here IE7 I'm using?

Try leaving the search results page open and right click on each desired link to get the options menu , left click
"open in new window" .
But if you left click directly on a search hit .....
yeah the search results are gone .
I hate that myself , because probably most links , and especially search result links should by default open in a new window when clicked . But it's
surprising how many of them aren't that way .

Or hold shift, or click the middle button (in Firefox). For that matter, Firefox saves "POSTDATA" like a good browser, and you won't have to retype
your stuff.

Maybe we can get that bug fixed as part of
a CSS and W3C bundle implementation ,
in the next forum upgrade

Good suggestions. Holding Ctrl down in IE7 launches in a new tab. Shift is a new window.
Tim, I used to use Mozilla exclusively, but I switched to IE7 when it came out because I like it better. Anyway, I just tried doing a search on the
board in Mozilla and found that it will just give a warning about resending postdata when you hit the back button; hitting OK resends your search
string and sends you back to the previous page. I don't know why IE7 doesn't do this! Surely there is a setting that could be changed in the browser?
I looked but didn't see anything obvious.
