Finding chemicals everywhere
Im sorry i will remove my post if you feel that way i was still working on editing i brainstorm before i form the sentences on what i want to say so
sorry for others to see my process of coming up with ideas its messy.

Here is the update
So as may know it's hard to find many chemicals so i thought i would make this thread on many chemicals that are needed can be anywhere

Ammonia
Urea which can release ammonia when heated or when reacted with Sodium hydroxide, Potassium hydroxide or calcium hydroxide
Ca(OH)2 + urea = calcium carbonate and ammonia
This ammonia can be absorbed on calcium chloride which forms a double salt calcium ammonium chloride
The ammonia can be released by heating the complex
Sulfur
Hydrogen sulfide from organic waste can be converted to sulfur by action of hypochlorite of on hydrogen sulfide
H2S + NaClO = H2O + S + NaCl
Sulfuric acid
The Sulfur can be burned in air to produce to sulfur dioxide
Which can then be oxidized many different ways to form sulfuric acid
Sulfuric acid
1 Copper 2 chloride oxidizes sulfur dioxide to form sulfuric acid and copper 1 chloride
2 Sulfur dioxide and hydrogen peroxide = sulfuric acid
3 Sulfur dioxide and nitric acid = sulfuric acid

Ammonia to nitric acid with a metal oxide

With in the thread a metal oxide is used to oxidize Ammonia gas to nitric acid the catalysis manganese, cobalt or nickel can be used.
At times hydrogen is needed for an experiment
Hydrogen can be extracted from ammonia by reacting with zinc metal
Zinc metal which is commonly used in carbon zinc batteries
The zinc metal reacts with ammonia
Zn + NH3 = ZnN2 + H2
The zinc nitride is hydrolized to form ammonia gas
ZnN2 + H2O = Zn(OH)2 + NH3
The zinc is then desolved in alkaline solution to form a zincate salt
Zn(OH)2 + Ca(OH)2 or Zn(OH)2 + NaOH
Calcium zincate or sodium zincate
Electrolysis of a zincate solution forms zinc powder and regenerates the sodium hydroxide
Which can be used in th process to make hydrogen again.
From the trees
Potassium hydroxide can be made from wood ashes which contain potassium carbonate
Ca(OH)2 + K2CO3 = KOH + CaCO3
If a you live by the ocean
There are also chemicals that can be found around you
Iodine
iodine can be extracted from seaweed
There is a video from codys lab that shows that process
Calcium carbonate
Seashells are composed mostly of calcium carbonate
Calcium hydroxide can be obtained from sea shells by heating turning it to calcium oxide then adding water to form calcium hydroxide
CaCO3 to Ca(OH)2 and CO2 this calcium hydroxide could be used to make potassium hydroxide
Sea water contains a lot of salt
Two of which there is a lot of
NaCl and MgSO4
These two form many reactions to obtain verious chemicals
The sodium chloride can be extracted by adding HCl acid to percipitate out the salt
HCl + NaCl = insouble NaCl
Magnesium hydroxide is formed when ammonia is bubbled into magnesium sulfate solution
MgSO4 + NH4OH = Mg(OH)2 + NH4SO4
Calcium hydroxide that was obtained from seashells reacts with the remaining solution which now contains ammonium sulfate forming ammonia gas
CaOH + NH4SO4=CaSO4 + NH3
Ammonium chloride can be obtained if calcium chloride is used
CaCl2 + NH4SO4 = CaSO4 + NH4Cl
So there you have it
Sulfuric acid
Calcium hydroxide
Potassium hydroxide
Ammonia
Hydrogen
Iodine

This kind of lists I have seen before, but they add very little and in my opinion are useless. Do you really see a starting home chemist making
sulfuric acid from organic waste with traces of H2S, or someone isolating iodine from seaweed?
There is a certain "law" in chemistry:
cost of required equipment * cost of starting materials = CONSTANT (depending on result compound)
Either you have to invest a lot in equipment (either as money, or in engineering effort), or you need more advanced (and hence more expensive)
starting materials. The required effort only is worthwhile when really special or hard to get chemicals can be made. Look at Magpie's excellent work
in making SO3 and white P and his progress towards reagents like SOCl2. These are big efforts and require a lot of craftmanship. This does not make
sense for making something mundane like sulphur.
There are many industrial processes, which can be used to make basic chemicals cheaply. But those processes only work well at large scale (tonnes) in
big plants.
In practice, quite a few chemicals really should be purchased, e.g. NaCl, KCl, NaOH, H2SO4, NH3. Once you have a basic set of chemicals, then you can
use these to make other chemicals, but even then, you need to invest quite some money in equipment. Think of making Br2 from NaBr, making HNO3 from
H2SO4 and KNO3, making KClO3 from KCl.

It doesn't have to be efficient, but just to try to make gold from soil or rock or sim card or headphones...
Just to see that it's possible. Sometimes even that little can be used for something like plating, because it requires very little of material. Do not
complain about someone losing money or energy on chemistry, maybe he just want to experiment, and not live using it, or make it a habit.
Just don't get confused. It's not true that chemicals are only in everything, but chemicals are everything. Before, I tought that gold or calcium or
any specific element is in soil or rocks or some electronics, but they are soil or electronics...
Everything is chemicals. Garbage, containers, air, you, water... And e everything can be extracted, separated, converted, isolated...
Most people think that chemist is person who works with some toxic and colored liquids, and that he damages Earth.
When I was in psychiatric hospital, one older patient was smoking, and when he asked me what is your hobby, after I told him it's chemistry, he said:
"You chemists are dangerous and you damage our planet, you should be arrested or beaten up". Of course I was aware he was damaging planet with his
cigar and other bad habits.
If he was younger than me I would insult him probably, but he was much older, and out of respect, I didn't.
Chemistry can be used to clean up Earth, probably more useful than anything else, or in combination with anything else, like electronics...

Well gold is elemental in electronics, it’s used to provide reliable high conductivity between contacts since it doesn’t corrode readily unlike
copper - anything that is gold coloured in circuitry (unless brass is being used for some reason) is elemental gold even if it’s just a few
nanometres thick. You do need a lot of scrap though for any significant amount so that’s the main drawback, as well as specialised reagents and the
knowledge to process out pure gold. But the rest is true, the vast majority of elements in our planet are tied up in some compound, depending on how
reactive they are separation can be trivial (like copper metal from solution) or quite expensive/laborious, such as potassium metal.
Oh and regarding your last bit, stupid people have stupid opinions so just remember that, you’re most likely a lot more intelligent than him even
with an age gap - he probably didn’t know all the chemistry that goes into making the commercial tobacco he so loves/loved! I’m sure he’d be
satisfied if tobacco production ceased because all the people who made it were assaulted and/or thrown in prison as he wished.

I think it is good to occasionally be reminded that many basic reagents that we typically think of as "lab chemicals" are found naturally or in common
materials and it is often a straightforward reaction to procure them (on paper at least). But, as woelen pointed out, the engineering and processing
to isolate these reagents by the routes you have suggested is generally prohibitive. This seriously limits the usefulness of such a list.
The reality is that any one of these requires a thread all of its own to discuss how the procedure might be undertaken. And indeed many such threads
exist -- Peach's seaweed-->iodine thread for example.

The post was more as a respons to the link of http://www.sciencemadness.org/smwiki/index.php/Suspicious_ch... and how difficult it is for some to find chemicals such as nitric acid, sulfuric
acid and ammonia i do not have problems finding chemicals but other really are very
restricted and cant practice chemistry fully as others.
So i was hoping this would be inspirational for others.

On your first post you are listing the equation for ammonium bisulfate not sulfate towards the bottom of the post. I think if you mix sulfate with
calcium hydroxide the equation would be:
(NH4)2SO4 + Ca(OH)2 = 2NH3 + 2H2O + CaSO4
and the calcium Chloride would be this:
(NH4)2SO4 + CaCl2 = 2NH4Cl + CaSO4.
Not a huge difference but it shows that you get 2x the amount of desired product from the reaction.

No, man. I am simultaneously chasing one girl online, not because as she thinks she's too good to stop chasing her, but because i am so unsuccessful
or unproductive in my life that i do some things just because of boredom. There's nothing else, only boredom. In such cases i chase boring girl and
visit boring forum. I also do other boring stuff, you know...
Bad luck maybe. I thought I will become successful 5 years ago. Haven't moved my finger since then. What a hell is god waiting for?
It's not about this forum or some girl, but about me. It was always all about me. Having to solve personal stuff...

Oh, if you want to get good at chasing girls, look at how unattractive girls chase guys. One of the most striking ways is how they talk themselves up.
It's incredibly cheesy and obviously fake, yet it works. But when you're as sexy as I am, your biggest concern will be the girls chasing you #hotguyproblems

I think I am already. I can't say that no girl ever chased me. There was one which was in love with one mafia guy few years ago, and suddenly she left
him and fell in love with me, and tried forcing me to go out with her on weekend, but i found some fake excuse, because i don't like used up girls.
Probably mafia guy f+)%$d her. I can't say she wasn't beautiful, but there are other qualities i demand.
This one i am chasing is both beautiful and rich and virgin (in all ways possible). That's only reason i don't give up.
There were few ugly or too old for me, who told me they love me. There are also ones who want to have more boyfriends or husbands at the same time, i
consider it impossible or immoral.
And when i say i chased GIRLS, I don't mean at once, but one by one, girl by girl. I don't plan to have many wives, although some religions allow
that.
Unfortunately most of those virgin and beautiful girls are pure evil. They ignore, or want me to suffer. They want to be enemy.
I have normal natural demands, meaning i seek: attention, respect, love, health, heaven...you know. I can't tolerate when girl want to be loved by 2
or more guys, or when she ignores me. Called her father yesterday and asked: "Give me daughter's phone number." and he said: "I don't want to answer
you." Will find alternative ways to get in touch. Of course she blocked me on all social media, but I still think she loves me. I know it doesn't look
like that, but possibility exists.....
And worst of all, how time passes quickly, I just can't live or enjoy anything because time dissappears too fast. Haven't tried distilling water ever
in life.

Just do a little bit each day. Even if it's only just
one small thing. That way, at the end of the day
you can correctly think to yourself:
"I made an accomplishment today"
Even if it's only making one decision or plan
about what to do tomorrow, at least you can
say you got that plan made.
Just remember when tomorrow comes, not to
change your mind too often and instead decide to
do nothing.
Taken as a whole, life can at times seem overwhelming.

down into manageable chunks.
