Buying ground glass joints, hose barbs & other glass parts in manufacturing of glassware
I have a couple local glass blowers that I'd like to have do some work for me but I'm having a VERY tough time finding a place to by ground glass
joints in any size by the smallest sizes like 10/14 or 14/18 that are used on marijuana pipes.
I'm looking for a nice selection if possible but it seems that if a company offers some, it is very limited selection and it is a dual male/female and
is part of a longer tube or an odd config that doesn't seem useful and is annoying to work with .
I want to buy something like 20 - 24/40 male joints and 35 - 24/40 females and probably a bunch of others.
Also, does anyone have a good soruce of Boro glass in the states where a purchase of a case isn't necessary?
How does the glass from china compare toe the boro produced in the states of Europe (I'm talking about raw material tube form)? Anyone have any
experience?

In Chinese glass, as everything else, quality control is the buyer's responsibility. Good luck-
Rapopart’s Rules for critical commentary:
1. Attempt to re-express your target’s position so clearly, vividly and fairly that your target says: “Thanks, I wish I’d thought of putting it
that way.”
2. List any points of agreement (especially if they are not matters of general or widespread agreement).
3. Mention anything you have learned from your target.
4. Only then are you permitted to say so much as a word of rebuttal or criticism.

Man I just found one site in the US that has sizes form 10/14 to 26/19 and about 8 sizes in between, nothing larger. Then on Aliexpress there are
about 40+ different sizes from 10/14 to 50/60, It is a total nightmare deciding where to start, especially if I am going to have glass made or make
my own (the easier stuff).
One thing I can say is that the 24/40 seems the most expensive unfortunately and that is what all my glassware is, save one piece. aliexpress seems
to sell a lot of the 29/32 pieces but I'm not talking about ground joints only, I'm talking about full pieces.

I have a real mix of sizes, i buy job lots of glass from closed labs or very old school stock, recently i purchased a large amount of small stuff (10
& 14 size) that are from 5ml - 100ml.
I have largely got around the problem by buying ground glass reducers/adapters. When i started collecting glass the decent Chinese stuff wasnt as
common, if i was starting again i would probably go with 2 sizes, i like the 14 size for small scale, then maybe 24 for other stuff.
I dont know how many different sizes I got, I will try and get a pic to show you how i got around it.
I also have size 19!! I rarely see it now but its a pretty good size for medium scale stuff. Keep in mind when i started i didnt have a clue about
size! I just brought what was cheap.

Sorry Rose i lost this thread!! I got a couple of pics to show what I mean.
A good example of this is 5 glass filters for solids, these were dirt cheap because the ground glass size was not wanted by many, but as you can see
in one the pics, i can use it with adapters to go from 34 down to a size 10 and all the sizes between!
