cyanide test via reagent Iron (II) sulfate and concentrated HCl
In using Iron (II) sulfate to detect the cyanide anion in my three selected solids which possibly contain cyanide, was I correct to determine that two
of the samples likely contained cyanide if one of the solids produced a green color with hues closer to turquoise when subjected to the test and the
other solid displayed an intense green color with a blue touch.
The third solid produced a light green color and suspicions of cyanide towards this diminished.
