Stirrer and Heating mantle combo

Does anyone know if this type of magnetic stirrer/hotplate at http://cgi.ebay.com/Cole-Parmer-Magnetic-Stirrer-Hotplate-9-... works with this kind of Heating Mantle? http://cgi.ebay.com/Glas-Col-O406-500ml-Fabric-Mantle-Power-...

Looks like it should but you really won't know for sure until you give it a try. In my laboratory experience all of our heating mantles were thin enough so that a stir bar in a flask would get significant attraction to the magnet in the stirrer through the material, and this looks to be a heating mantle of about the same construction (as most of them are). But still you don't know for sure since you don't have those things right in front of you to test, or even how intense the attraction will be, if it's too thick the stir bar will decouple at low speeds after all.
