A few questions about inorganic salt crystals

Will ading glycerol to a supersaturated solution smoothen the crystals and will adding sulfuric acid to sulfates make the salt crystals clearer? Thanks :)

Glycerin should avoid crystallization of parasite crystals (but I havent tried it yet so Im not sure).
Adding H2SO4 to water solution of sulfates ussualy causes crystallization of lower crystalohydrate then would form under normal circumstances, and yes, it is sometimes to improve quality of crystal;).
