What is a glass resistance tube?
I got an email from one the techs offering some more bits from the science lab clear out at school. Most of the stuff is really old and in box's with
Griffin and George brand on the box.
No idea of age but appears 70's maybe 80's, the techs dont know much about it but there is some interesting things amongst it.
One of the box's has resistance tubes printed on the label, they are a bit wider than a boiling tube but shorter. I would say slightly shorter than a
normal test tube.
The glass is pretty thick at nearly 2mm but i dont know what kind of glass they are made from, it looks like they have a slight green tinge to them.
Anyone got any idea what the original purpose of these are, i have never heard of resistance tubes!
I will post some pics later once i have had a chance to go through the box of stuff.
I am wondering if they will be able to take some heat and be used like boiling tubes.
