preliminary spot tlc
I'm not sure what this is called but it's a quick way to check solvent mixes for tlc suitability. It involves using a small square of a tlc plate;
putting a spot, and then putting a drop of the eluent onto the spot and watching for concentric circles.
I'm wondering what it's called and am looking for more information about it.
