Counter Strike 2 was great.

I cooked the DVD after uninstalling the game to make sure i could not install it again.

Edit:

In My Humble opinion if you Give Us A Clue what CS2 Might Be. Currently No one Has A Clue what you are On A Bout.
or roughly like that give or take, in other words its a PITA with just acronyms

97.238 % right !

IMH has no O, so i made another useless acronym from 'It Might Help')

Counterstrike 2 was awesome.
Cooking the DVD helped save me from many hours of playing a pointless game.

All you do for cooking CS2 is either throw the DVD in a fire, or any heat source, and it melts.

Ther may be a reference somewhere for Microwaving it, but i'm not sure that the metallic stuff on DVDs would be good for the health of the Magnetron in the MW.

I've tried cooking with CS2 before. While it does impart an interesting flavour to lobster, I found the mortality rate was far too high, even by the standards of my cooking.

Never accept that which can be changed.

Lobster with a melted DVD on it. Yuck.

Did you use the cardboard sleeve as a garnish ?

I still have a dabble on CS but via steam (yuk) me and dad prefer 4.7 on the lan so we dont need a license etc. I like the bitch slap mod :D.

Its occured to me that my ability to read aga when I dont even drink should give me enough concern to make getting a gas mask a priority!

Reading agascript when sober should be sufficient reason to vist a psychiatrist, a welder or an off-licence immediately.

Pretty sure he's talking about carbon disulfide, what else would he be asking about on a chemistry forum?

Then again, there's always those weirdos who try to sell shoes here. There's no shoe called CS2, right?

Yeah, you think? It's rather obvious that aga and LGa understand this, at least IMO.

This thread should be off to Detritus though, as OP needs to search the forum for the innumerable threads on this, and aga and LGa derailed yet another thread.

He's got a point, any thread that begins with 'cook' is a joke to begin with.

Personally, I found that cooking with CS2 tended to lead to a high percentage of bodyshots, specifically to the stomach area. Many were infuriated.

My apologize i didnt know what CS2 was, I tend to try and use names as I am a bit thick, I then just tried to help the OP speak aga.
If I am honest I seriously didnt have a clue what CS2 was and saw cook so thought drugs. We dont derail at all, if the op comes back with something more substantive then we step back or help, otherwise we take the piss. This is our function on here. Look at the gold recovery thread that started with some piss taking until we realized what the Op was doing and both aga (especially aga) and DeltaH have really helped, i chip in with what I can.
but its hard to be serious when people use terms like cook with an acronym. if I have offended you gdflp then I am sorry, part of me wants to tell you to fuck off, but thats childish and uncalled for so I wont

Erm, Especially deltaH assisted the OP if you care to read that thread again.

The whole reaction scheme was deltaH's, not mine.

No, this thread was most certainly doomed from the start. The thread I was talking about was the silver nitrate thread, not the gold thread. And I apologize, my comment was intended to be more light-hearted than it came across as.

People keep talking about a Thread where there isn't one.

Is it like Benzene bond electron delocalization?

I need some time in the regenerator.

G'Night peeps !

Ah got ya, you mean the cheap siver nitrate thread, no one took seriously except those smart enough to U2U the Op and get a good deal, yeah we did derail that one fair comment.
I am young and he drinks beer, not the best combination :D.

There's a writeup in Prepublication subforum, which people seem to be allergic to looking at even though it has some of the forums best content.

I understand why you got frustrated but this is a science based forum so you really cant barely ask a question while using incorrect terms and expect people to take you seriously. Especially when you ask like this

"how hard was it and what methods were followed"

The first part is purely speculation because what is hard for one is easy for another and you need to be specific. There are theoretical methods that take place on paper but may require ridiculous stuff, then there are the methods someone who "has a 250ml RBF using a vacuum.. etc" just so you can get a tailored response.

But asking a question like that isnt normally proper for a forum thread, let alone a scientific one. You really gotta give more information and use the correct terms because people are not going to answer you based on "like he could do that without hurting himself, it is my responsibility not to tell him."

Its like catching flies with honey or whatever that saying is.

Chemistry is a natural drive, not an interest.

Yes, it is sort of a prerequisite on this forum, especially when you're asking about very dangerous and difficult procedures/reagents that you give some background information and your own thoughts on the process you intend to carry out and input any concerns you have on the research you did before coming here.

What could you possibly be after carbon disulfide for anyway?

As per UC235's suggestion, you can find the the work to figure this out here (no photos unfortunately) :
http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=10564

Asking here (with apparently zero work done) for what you can find with Google is kinda lame, which is why you got the responses you got.

If you'd said 'I got no results doing X' (with some details of what you'd done) or 'I want to make CS2 and found a procedure (reference given)' then the answers would have been a lot more useful.

Chemistry isn't Simple or Easy. It takes at least some effort on your part.

Siver Nitrate was offered for sale 'cheap'.

I asked for a price for 500g.
Had there been any negotiation, i'd have paid for 500g plus postage.

None was given, so i offered an idea of price based on current Silver prices.

After that it all got crazy as there was an attempt to sell with no Price stated.

I dunno what you call that kind of selling.

What's so ridiculous about 250ml RBFs and vacuum? My lab is a particularly ramshackle one, yet I do have both a 250ml RBF and vacuum.

Smells like ammonia....
