Has anyone ordered from Laboy Glass recently?
I ordered some stuff from them in December (spent all my holiday money, ). I
got the order confirmation email, but not the shipping confirmation, and the stuff hasn't arrived yet. I've tried contacting them (a week ago) but
they haven't responded. I'm starting to get worried. Laboy has always been reliable, up until now.
Has anyone recently interacted with Laboy?

China. December? You should be getting the EMS tracking # email within a couple weeks.
It's funny with this Laboy thing, how you said you had no problems with *FWOOSH*...when that's who everyone else should have worried about giving
money to, not Laboy...

I ordered some things from Laboy in November. I never got an email with tracking information, but my order showed up after about three weeks or so. I
made another order a week and a half ago. Again, no shipping confirmation, and I still haven't got the package yet. I'll wait another couple weeks
before I worry.
Maybe your shipment is taking a while due to being relatively large?

I regularly order all sorts of items from China, and have been doing so for many years.
Communication is the most important aspect in making these orders / deliveries painless. I would suggest you email them 2- 3 times a day if needed to
get a response, and keep a good working relationship with them.
You have to keep in mind... they have hundreds if not thousands of email inquiries daily. so to this end, My grandfather had a saying, "The squeeky
wheel is the one that gets the grease."
Keep emailing / calling until you get a response.
They tried to have me "put to sleep" so I came back to return the favor.

Be patient: we've talked them up a lot here and I have no doubt we've made them busier than ever. I just hope they keep selling the good ground
jointed thermometers.

Have you all thought about approaching them for discounted pricing for forum members? 10 - 20% off?
I set up several programs with suppliers on 2 forums in the past few years. It benefits both parties, as you can easily steer a hundred or more sales
a year their way.
The easy way was to have EVERY forum member that orders MENTION the forum, and that way the retailer sees how many sales there are.
If the retailer is stubborn? There are more retailers out there that are willing to trade volume for short term profits.
It has worked for years on two forums I post on, and at least ten retailers are signed up.
Not for nothing guys... I Ebay is now paying one of those forums for add space (banner) because of the volume of sales that came from that one site.
Maybe we can get everybody paid...

I read elsewhere on this forum that laboy is rebranded synthware--is this true?
I have been building up quite a collection of Synthware, as I love the quality. The only stickler is shipping from China, which tends to be the
expensive part.

I read the same thread as you. The poster stated the LabBoy label was printed over another respected brands label.
It was pretty recent, as I had just joined so within a few weeks of today.
I ordered a "set of glass on Amazon, and it was junk so I then ordered from DesChem, and the order came in 13 days. Free shipping (over $130.00 USD),
and the quality is perfect.
Just saying that China does not have to mean hi shipping or poor quality.

Good afternoon,
Just to let you know that anyone ordering from Over seas and lives in the West coast of the USA; you in for a possible LONG wait. There are a lot of
tensions right now between the union workers at the port and is killing productivity. Just to give you an idea how bad it is. I have a vessel that
ETA was 1/15 and it has entered the port but still hasn't been of loaded. I am not sure how Laboy ships their stuff. If it is by ocean freight you may
be in for a long wait as of now.

I just made you read this very pointless signature. How does it feel?

It's USPS priority to the USA, like 4 days once it's out of China. $15 flat per order.

I'll also support the approximately one month shipping time. An order placed a bit over a week before Christmas arrived in the middle of January.

This belongs in the much older thread and it's totally out of place here I know, but BTW I would not order any RBF's from them if you plan on using
them...in a Glas-Col mantle. You know that extra thickness of theirs that some members here like? It's applied to the outer dimension which does not
conform to the size of Kimble, Ace, Corning, and Kontes RBF's that fit just fine.

Look up DesChem guys!
1/3rdf the price, and the same quality. It's not re-branded either.
Efit:
I bought a Kipps, all glass, and it was 49.00 bucks USD!
10% off if you are a legit buisness, plus free shipping over 139.00
Just sayin'

I order some products from them 2 months ago (in October) and I have not received the order nor a tracking number yet. I have tried to contact them a
few times by email but I did not get any response. I can see on my account on laboy's website that the status of my order is still "processing". I'm
starting to have some doubts if I will ever receive anything from them. It would be nice to hear if someone has interacted with the company recently
or if the company is still active. At least their website is up and running and it is possible to make orders, unfortunately...

I bought from them via Amazon about a month ago, buying 5 flasks, 2 condensers, a thermometer and jacket, still head, vacuum receiver, stopper,
separation funnel and claison adaptor. I got it within a week (great for where I live) and there glass is excellent. Ive heated it to above 300c and
dropped the glass multiple times and nothing has ever broken.

I have one laboy flask, and it is easily the best piece of glass i have. Strong, well built, and handles heat brilliantly. I ordered it over a year
ago though, so I can only vouch for how good their glass is.
I use that flask more than i use any others.

Just to give a short update on my previous post, my order finally arrived after ~3 months from ordering. I received the tracking number after 2.5
months from ordering and after that the order arrived within a week. The glassware was properly packed and in good condition. I must say that I'm
pretty happy with the double vacuum manifold that normally costs around 1000$. From Laboy, I was able to get it for a quarter of the price. Also other
glassware ordered (Schlenk tubes, some round bottom flasks etc) seems pretty decent quality and I have no complaints so far. Only problem with this
company is that their customer service is pretty much non-existing. I sent them several emails asking about my order and never heard anything back
from them. I guess it would be much safer option to order Laboy glassware through eBay or other company because then you are protected by their
customer service in the case something goes wrong.
