well i´m really silly sometimes i forgot to place de reaction:
CH3COOH---->2CH2O ?
now yes can this work?
under what conditions?
i´ve also find in an old chemistry book that inearly xx centuri oxalic acid was prepared industrially heating sawdust, KOH and NaOH or with nitric
acid and sugar
can somebody tell me where can i get information about this, i think it is quite interesting!!

- conversion of carboxylate to formaldehyde by electrolysis in liquid ammonia
- reaction of carboxylic acid with hydrogen peroxide and lead carbonate in water
