Need some lab glass off my hands
I have acquired A LOT of laboratory glassware a while ago and have been holding off on selling it. I would like to sell most of it
because it is taking up a lot of space (enough to fill a U haul trailer and a Suburban). If any of you would like anything I'm sure I have it so give
me a request and I will see if I can find it! You can email me at discountlabglass@gmail.com and I guarantee you won't get a cheaper price anywhere
else because I need to get rid of this stuff!

I don't see any glass in that picture, but I trust you cause that's exactly what my whole lab looks like at the time!
Where are you located?

Yeah its all in the boxes... I was just showing the scale of how much I have. That trailer + an entire SUV full! And I'm in the suburbs of Chicago.

That looks like my garage and storage space as well. Good luck.
I would suggest maybe posting a basic list of what types of things that you have. Is it beakers from 10 - 1000 ml, erlenmeyers, round bottom flasks,
or what types of things? That helps people get a feel for your stuff, and maybe a rough idea of the prices.

Do you have any ground glass glassware? If so, what size are the joints? And is the glass Pyrex-grade, or Bomex-grade?

Interested. I am just begining to stock my lab and want some basics. The problem for me is that shipping from US to Oz is generally prohibitive.
If others in Australia are interested, maybe a shared package. I would be happy to distribute.
What kind of glassware do you have?

Someone with two posts, posts a picture of a lot of books in boxes, offers an e-mail address that doesn't work. Looking more and more scam-like. Dr.
Bob made a nice Excel list of what he had and posted a lot of pictures of items. That might help you as well mikeman.

Sorry everyone for the email troubles! Please redirect them to schoemaker97@gmail.com
I tried to set up that account so I didn't have to use my personal email but oh well :/
I do not have a list of inventory but I can tell you I have a lot of condensers, beakers, graduated cylinders, pipettes, flasks, etc... and more that
I'm not sure the names of. I wasn't expecting to get this large of a response this quickly so forgive my ignorance and email me back if you're still
interested! All of this is in storage right now so I'll try and get some more info on exactly what I have by at least Friday.
Again, sorry for the issues this isn't a scam, I just wasn't prepared for this response!
Here's some pictures to get a feel of what I have.
Also here is my eBay account. Only one thing is on it right now but I'm just going to leave it here in hope of some traffic...

Well, as I said, if we in Aus band together and are prepared for slow shipping, we can share shipping costs and quite possibly take advantage of this
opportunity. I am prepared to investigate and distribute if there is enough interest. So far it is you and me. Tdep, diddi, anyone else, are you up
for it?

Hell yeah, would love me some more ground glass joint stuff. Preferably 24/29, but if it's a cheap bulk price I'd be in.
I mean i'm in SA, and domestic shipping of large amounts of chem glassware might be expensive and not something i'm overly comfortable with (knowing
our lovely friends in the police uniforms here). Would prefer pickup, but that's asking a lot, think i'm the lone representative of my state here.

The glass is from a closed down meat testing laboratory in Chicago that I ended up caring for (long story). But most of the glass was unopened in
boxes or stored in cabinets. I only took the glasses that looked new and barely used. I had this glass for about 10 months now and it's time to stop
procrastinating and sell it.

Definite interest on my part as well, over the holiday season especially. I know it would be laborious on your part, but an item list would help. I'm
mostly interested in specific little odds and ends. I'll get a list of small things I know I am interested in and wait for more thread feedback.

Some kind of an inventory list is essential if you want any 'traffic'.
We can't "look over the inventory" ourselves.
The only alternative is for us to prepare wish lists to send to you which you then match up against your inventory - but without an inventory list
this will be very time consuming for you.
Just do the inventory - you need to if you really want to move this stuff.

Yes I understand I need an inventory... I can't get to the glassware as it's in storage and I'm very tied up with work and school. Please be patient
I'm trying my best to clear some time to go through all the glass I have to make an inventory so please check back bn Friday or Saturday! Sorry for
the inconvenience everyone I wasn't prepared for any response to this to be honest but I'm happy I've intrigued some of you and I hope to do business
with all of you!

I encourage you to follow Dr. Bob's very successful formula:
- Do a cursory search through your entire inventory, to get a general 'feel' for what all you have (beakers, condensers, sep funnels, etc.)
- Go through at least a portion of your boxes and write up a detailed inventory list with prices
- As these sell and are shipped out, space will open up and you can go through more boxes and post a new inventory list
- Any requests that arise ("Do you have X?") should be at least generally answerable from your cursory search, then when that box makes it to the
front you can inform that person on the specifics ("I have X in 100, 200, and 500mL sizes")
Good luck! Many, many people here will undoubtedly be interested.

Very interesting indeed. There are a few pieces that I'd be interested in if you have them and if the price is right, but I will hold off on emailing
you until you get a little more organized or publish an inventory, so as not to swamp you with speculative requests.
These glassware lots from closed labs are great though. I got almost all of my glassware from a similar deal, and it's usually very professional
stuff.

Also, very interested. Parents are getting more lenient, and as long as you have good prices (as they ARE used), I'd be very interested. I might have
to pay for it through ebay, but if that works for you I might look into it in a few days. I'm sorry to say, though, that inventory of at least a
quarter of your stuff is necessary, if that's all you can pull off. We can work with that.

j_sum1 if you are in NSW then we might be able to arrange a pickup. I've been wanting a soxhlet extractor, pressure equalised addition funnel and some
small fritted funnels for a while now.
If you're not in nsw then things will probably be much more difficult.
Its annoying that the american government sets postage rates so high, it really puts a damper on small businesses there that want to ship overseas.

I as well would like to know what you have. Also make sure you label what brand it is if it is known.
I just made you read this very pointless signature. How does it feel?
