Hi, i need copper in dust and i think that 2HCl + Cu -----> CuCl2 + H2 and then CuCl2 + Al ------> Cu + AlCl2 and then remove the AlCl2... is
it possible???

It would be AlCl3, not AlCl2. This could work, as aluminum chloride is soluble. There is another thread on this where CuSO4 and Vitamin C is used.

HCl doesnt react directly with Copper, the Cu has to be oxidised first, so you could react the oxide with acid, add an oxidising agent, or bubble air
through the acid to aid dissolving the Copper.

THere's a multitude of threads on copper dissolution and so on. If'd like to discuss this please do so in the proper threads. Same goes for
the copper powder - just follow neutrino's link.
Btw - Zn, and Fe powder was mentioned for the production of Cu powder. Al presumably should work too.
