I believe so but you would also get a lot of free chlorine so be careful.

Like Dornier 335A said, it won't work, calcium carbonate will stay precipitated.
The way double replacement reactions are predicted is based on the solubility of the products vs. reactants. Whatever possible outcome with the lowest
solubility, is what will precipitate. Since CaCO3 is insoluble, it will precipitate.

1. Buy calcium hypochlorite solid ('poolshock'), cheap as chips.
2. Dissolve in water.
Simples!
