"steam" distillation

(Seems like the server is having some problems and I wasn't able to post.)

I've finished extracting an amine from a water mixture using ether. There's still a little amine left in the water. I'm wondering if there's a way to prevent the amine from distilling with the water? Maybe converting to an acid and vacuum distilling?

Why not ensure the solution is basic, and do a 2nd extraction into clean ether?

Why so vague. if you supply more details, you may garner more useful replies...

You are so vague that I can't make the connection between "steam" distillation and the content of your post ...
This is a real answer you're looking for? If this is the case, ask a real question. What is the nature of your amine, aromatic, aliphatic, primary, secondary ...? What about pH, volumes, quantities?
And what the hell do you mean by "prevent the amine from distilling with the water / converting to an acid and vacuum distilling" ??? You want to distill the water or the alkaloid??? You really want to turn your amine into a carboxyde or do you mean acidifying your aqueous extract?

Jesus!!
