Does anyone know what happened to quicksilver?

He hasn't logged in here since last August. He didn't send me or any mods a message indicating that he was going to be absent. I hope he hasn't suffered some mishap.

If anyone here had personal contacts with him off the forum, I hope you can let me know, or even post to this thread if the information is not private. We will also be looking for a new moderator as this section really needs someone like quicksilver to maintain order.
