I scooped up the hotplate in the OP for a few cents under $200, including shipping - thanks for the tip chemrox! Sorry if I was bidding against anyone
else here  I'll report on how it works when I get it.
Now I'm jealous of franklin's post, though! That plate goes hotter than the one I got, and is much cheaper!
