The 9th High Energy Materials, HEMs-2013


Dear colleagues,

We would be very pleased to notice about the International Workshop HEMs-2013 (http://www.hems-2013.jp and
https://www.facebook.com/hems2013) to be held in Kanagawa prefecture, Japan from October 7–9, 2013.

Please, consider to participate and submit an (500 words maximum) Abstract by March 30th, 2013.

The HEMs will address present state and future perspectives in the field of CIVIL & GREEN APPLICATIONS OF
HIGH ENERGY MATERIALS
from traditional use to advanced systems.

The selected topics for this workshop will focus on:

1) Formulation Design, Characterization, Diagnostics, and Combustion
2) Demilitarization/Utilization/Environmental Safety of Energetic Systems
3) Green Propellants and Green Propulsion
4) Space Chemical Propulsion, Gas Generators, Airbag Inflators, and other Applications
5) Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies
6) Explosive Detection

Student participation is encouraged with reduced registration fees. We plan a very exciting workshop,
complete with technical tour.

We truly hope you can join us in Japan.


Important dates

Abstract submission deadline: March 30th, 2013
Notification of acceptance: June 1st, 2013
Full paper submission deadline: October 7th, 2013
Workshop opening: October 7th, 2013
