Best Scale For Under $50
Hello all,
I am wondering what would be the best scale to get under $50, I have been looking at Jennings JS-200XV. Is there any better choices?
Thank You

I'm personally thinking about one of these.
The only bad reviews on this one are about the useless calibration weight, so it should be otherwise trustworthy.
Capacity is 600g, accuracy 0.1g.
Price is fairly low, though, so that's worrying.

It depends on what you are doing. Do you need something that can weigh small amounts of compounds but at higher precision, or do you need a scale
that can weigh heavy loads but at lesser precision?

Hexavalent- take it easy! Maybe numerous threads mean it is more tedious to look through!
My advice to you, borrowed lawyer, is to look at HST...
http://www.hometrainingtools.com/
They have numerous good balances for quite cheap, and they also have great chemicals and equipment for the beginner chemist. If you want a good scale
at the higher end of your budget you might consider this one:
http://www.hometrainingtools.com/digital-scale-200-g-x-001-g...
It has a 200g capacity (which is better than my balance, though I never weigh over 100g) and a .01g resolution (which is super good).

The above link is all the balances they carry- you will surely find one there.
I got my SPE-123 from ITIN scale... they have good deals, too.
Good luck and I hope I helped!
hey, if you are reading this, I can't U2U, but you are always welcome to send me an email!

I got a CHEAP scale from eBay from <a
href="http://www.ebay.com/itm/Electronic-Digital-Weight-Scale-Balance-300g-x-0-01g-Gram-Lab-Gold-Jewelry-/160819765583?pt=US_Pocket_Digital_Scales&
;hash=item25719ae14f">this</a> seller. Its from China so I'm sure it isn't the best quality, but it's lasted me for around 6 months now
already. It was a 500 gram scale accurate to 0.01 grams, and it was only $6 + $6 shipping. Although they don't carry the same scale anymore they carry some like it. Who knows how long it will last, but for only being $6, I don't
care all that much. Especially if you spill something on it and completely fry it, you don't have worry about wasting $50. It took around a week and a
half delivered which isn't that bad coming from China. There are many other cheap scales on eBay as well.

ScienceHideout....if people didn't continually open new threads, then it would become less tedious!
