Lead by electrolysis
hello everybody,
I imagine many of you have seen woelen's website on chemistry, and one of his experiments is growing lead by electrolysis. I have tried this, but
would prefer to make crystals like these:
![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e6/Lead_electrolytic_and_1cm3_cube.jpg/250px-Lead_electrolytic_and_1cm3_cube.jpg)
before attempting this I thought I would ask for a little advice.
I would grow this in a beaker with a saturated solution of Pb(NO3)2 and a much lower current.
does anybody have any suggestions on this?
thanks,
alex
