Isopropanol for haloform reaction
Can isopropyl alcohol be used in the haloform reaction (chloroform) intead of ethanol or acetone?

Yes, first it will be oxidized by NaOCl to acetone, which can then undergo the haloform reaction. You need more sodium hypochlorite than with straight
acetone though, so readjust your amounts accordingly.
