water flow control

I solved the anxiety of five day refluxes in an industrial area without modern water pressure control.

Once did a 48 hour reflux in my kitchen, lets just say I didn't sleep very much for those 48 hours plus setup and workup...

Would very much like one of those ( i take it that it is a "Water flow monitor" with a flow sensor?) so I could do more stuff without worrying about flooding and letting vapors killing me silently in my sleep if I ever do somethinglike that in my kitchen again...

But makes me wonder, those sensors may be easily made or cheaply bought, and with my limited electro knowledge, wouldn't the controller be very simple for someone with some electro background? Especially since that controller and sensor cost a gallon of virgin blood...
