Last Man Standing, Anti Hangover Formulation.
Skip the Hangover?
Yeah, you know, your dealer gets busted, or just fucks off somewhere else . . . or whatever . . . ?
So it's back to mobile liquids, but your hangover now lasts four fucking days !!!
But wait ─ while browsing, you find this!
It's on page 42, and there's loads of other good shit, too . . .
Has anyone ordered stuff from them ─ like the 'cure', or maybe the other hardware they're pushing?
I mean, we're all 'first responders', right . . .

talk about a chemistry forum ! this is a purely chemical thing! you drink ethanol, the body (liver) breaks it down to first ethanal ( acetaldehyde
responsible for the hangover) and then acetic acide (evacuated by the urine) if you can find a way to bypass the aldehyde production by the liver you
are the next billionaire!!!\
all i've got is the water disolution solution!

Water really is the key. However, I also find that the evacuation of the acetic acid removes quite a few important electrolytes which results in
dehydration-like symptoms despite having adequate hydration.
Try drinking a gatorade or some sports drink before bed or eating a salty snack while drinking. You'll still have the "removed" and dreamy sort of
feeling the next day but sans-headache as long as you get your Na+, K+, and Ca++ back on track.
As an experiment, one of us should save all urine expelled during a drinking session and get an idea about the amount of these ions that are actually
expelled.
On another note, diethyl ether inhibits alcohol dehydrogenase before being metabolized to two ordinary ethanol molecules by some other enzyme. It
might be possible to get the same feeling without drinking as much alcohol by cutting the EtOH with Et2O. Less metabolism of EtOH = less EtOH needed
to maintain BAC = less ethanal = less hangover?
Apparently ingesting diethyl ether was popular a long time ago. It was mixed with drinks to prevent it from boiling in the stomach. I believe it's
abused as an inhalant today (along with carcinogenic hexanes and heptanes in starting fluid!) but I've never heard of anyone actually drinking the
stuff.
It would be pretty easy to make food-grade Et2O by dehydrating vodka with H2SO4, then distilling. (If you're into that kind of stuff)

yes H2SO4 and ethanol will distill into diethyl ether, but drinkin alcoholic beverages has been arround for 4 to 5000 years and if there were a cure
for hangover it would have been found by now!
i strongly recomand NOT drinkink diethyl ether though!

*THE* most popular and effective (IMO) hangover cure around here.
Water comes in second place.
Rebound drinking is practiced by some... I can't believe we actually did that sometimes, yuck!
Some stimulants also mitigate the hangover effects but may increase nausea.
The most obvious cure is to abstain.

Neptunium's preventative method of drinking water is the simplest and cheapest.
There are additional adjustments.
Oxidative damage from acetaldehyde formation is further reduced by chomping anti-oxidants before drinking and before sleep.
B-complex, pantothenic acid, acetyl cysteine+glutathione are pretty effective in combination with the water.

well actually,
one of the reasons there is no hangover meds is because they dont want you drinking too much.
hangover=your body's way of telling you to take it easy on the booze

Water works wonders in most situations.
Drinking ether does have good synergy with ethanol. It is quite safe in moderation, still sold in some places. The smell is ether's downfall.

According to wikipedia isovaleramide (in valerian extract) inhibits alcohol dehydrogenase. The anxiolytic effects may synergise with ethanol too. More
potent and long lasting analogues are discussed in this patent http://www.freepatentsonline.com/y2006/0025477.html

Ethanol is also a dehydrogenase inhibitor. So the way to cure your hangover is to a have a few shots for breakfast!

I found Piracetam is amazingly effective in reducing or preventing hangovers and helping to restore your health from excessive alcohol consumption http://www.piracetam.com
cysteine, vitamins C and B1 (or is it B2?, use both), bioflavanoid (all used together) reduces acetaldehyde levels in the body
aspirin
I found distilled alcoholic (80%) wormwood extract reduces hangovers, too.
Take probiotics like acidophulus, L. reuteri, etc. This greatly reduces a hangover, at least with me.

When do you take the piracetam. Do you have anything else to say about it? I've taken it on and off and can't distinguish placebo from effects. I take
it with acetylcholine, oxiracetam and aniracetam....
OT: Drink 50/50 water vodka. I don't know exactly, but I hear higher quality vodkas have less aldehydes, but sounds like here-say.

There is some evidence that large doses of vitamin B6 taken before and during drinking prevents hangovers.
The doses involved are about 1000 mg. This is many, many times the recommended dose. Though B6 is a water soluble vitamin, it can cause (mostly)
temporary peripheral nerve damage at these doses if you repeat this regimen more than once every week or two.
I've given B6 to a few people in an informal test, and they claimed it worked. Not a controlled experiment, of course.

Opiates are the real hangover cure. It does not take much but it seems to re-regulate the fluids in the body or something and one will be feeling fine
in a matter of minutes. I feel there is something more to it then just an opiate buzz covering up a hangover.
Knowledge is useless to useless people...
"I see a lot of patterns in our behavior as a nation that parallel a lot of other historical processes. The fall of Rome, the fall of Germany — the
fall of the ruling country, the people who think they can do whatever they want without anybody else's consent. I've seen this story
before."~Maynard James Keenan

Huh? Why blood doping, of course.
Occasionally bank your own blood. Until you have enough for a complete blood swap.
Then, when you feel really horrible and hung over, you can drain all of your polluted "old" blood, and top yourself off with nice fresh stuff.
Take your nasty hang-over blood and clean it up, in your dialysis machine. Bingo! You're ready to go again.
Haven't you guys ever hung out with Andy Dick, or Charlie Sheen?
