School projet

Hello,
I need a few substances which create heat on formation from aqueous solution, and I need one of the ions to be constant and the other ions should be in the same group.
I was think about combining silver nitrate with NaCl/Br/I in aqueous media forming silver halides. but I don't know for sure if they have a heat of formation from the corresponding ions.
I was thinking doing the same with a sulfate source and Ca/Sr/Ba nitrate/chloride, but I not sure if those reactions create heat also.
May be there are other groups of ions that have a heat producing reaction with a specific ion in aqueous media?

Or a substance that has a enthalpy of dissolution and dissolves in a variety of solvents(a few common ones will be enough) without reacting with them.

NaOH dissolves in water with strong evolution of heat.

I know, but does it dissolves in other solvents without reacting with them? I think there aren't a great deal of those around...

So, I think KOH dissolves in ethanol well, but it does react a bit. But I don't think it's a problem, is it?

Well, that is for my teacher to decide :)
I basically need a changeable variable in a laboratory project that is based on the laws of thermodynamic.
