aluminum hydride?
I had read that by adding P205 to a LAH reduction of a secondary amide, that aluminum hydride is formed and that it causes the reaction to happen much quicker (1/2 hr.) at room temperature, (as compared to 18 hrs. at 110C).
Anyone tried this?
(I'll try and dig up the reference.)
