Purchasing Lithium Aluminum Hydride
I'm trying to buy LAH for a science experiment and was just wondering if anyone had any idea if I'm going to get into trouble? It's on the special
survailance list and from what I read it isn't illegal to buy or possess as long as it isn't being used for illegal drug manufacture. It isn't illegal
to sell it eiither as long as you have no suspision that the LAH will be used to make drugs or other listed chemicals that are illegal. But then i
read that it was illegal to sell it and then its illegal to buy it blah blah blah. The law is confusing.
Does anyone know if I'm breaking the law if I'm buying LAH for legal science experimentation?

I think you already have a relatively good grasp on the legalities of the posession of LiAlH4; like most chemicals if you aren't involved in anything
shady and you are not already a person known to police then the possession and use shouldn't register on anyones radar thusly just be safe and have
fun experimenting.

Buying controlled chemicals is not a crime, as the name already states, they are *controlled* and not *illegal*.
