Use Nomex Warning
Cribbed from a mailing list.
I bought a military surplus Nomex outfit to replace my old one. We were
going to wash it anyway but my wife suggested I cut a small piece from
an inside seam and do a burn test. It seems the vendor had starched it
or something, the treatment burned nicely. We washed it AND soaked it
in flame retardant before yesterday's hand-fire show, no damage after
hand firing besides a few tiny scorch/smoke marks.
