Creating a Reagent Sourcing Database?

Has anyone had this thought yet?

I had the idea of creating a database of potentially viable sources for reagents and stuff, like confirmed products, like things that contain XYZ and the brand, price, etc.
Does anything like that exist? I feel like it should. I saw a forum post earlier today that made me think about it more, like a wide price comparing system, and similar info.
for instance "imidazole's imidazole: purity: bad, smells like pee. cost: 10^50 USD/mg, found at the evil store, notes by users: imidazole: "I think this is really good and the company never mixes up bottles" Dan the chemical smeller: "smells like pee" " etc, etc.

this probably would work as a spreadsheet or a database, something, I don't know.
Thoughts?

There are a couple of users working on this already. The thread can be found here.

There is also a short list of suppliers in the SM wiki.
