Molybdenum Oxidation states

How might I create the broad range of molybdenum's oxidation states starting with MoO3?

I do a lot of colorimetric chemistry and usually only work with the 'yellow' molybdate so I would like to see its various states but don't quite know how I can create them.

Our excellent member Woelen has a most detailed answer for you on his website:

Hope this helps!
