What is happening at Deschem?
I've got a fair sized order, I want to place with Deschem.
At the moment, Ebay tells me Deschem, is "On vacation".
This, I have trouble believing.
Does anybody have insight?
Is the owner sick? Is there political trouble? Have any of you been delayed by Deschem "Vacations", in the past?
Does anyone else fear a great "Disturbance" in the "Force".

This seems to be normal in China as if you recall, last year around this time, during the outbreak, it was Chinese new year when people often take a
month off to travel to their home town. I've seen 4-5 of my sellers have the same notice.

Deschem has been on vacation for how many times, and it has never affected my shipments so far.

Only until the 16th, just four days, I just made a large order yesterday too and considered if I might should wait until they are back.
But I did it anyway, I trust them and if all fails, I'll get the money back so no worries.

Ummm. Seems to me, the original return date has been extended. Er...... I mean, they were supposed to be back already.
I suppose, I'll just have to wait and see.

There are many chines holidays, yes I have seen them on vacation befor, I made a order recently and it is under way, it is a larger group of people
then just one guy lol.

Well, for the 3rd, or 4th time, Deschem's vacation.... Has been extended.
Now, it is extended through the 19th?
Something is going on in China.
Local Covid outbreak, and lock-down? Political unrest? Company moving?
I'll check on Deschem's address, and try to fathom the nature of the obstruction.
I'm sure hoping this is resolved soon.

Of course their COVID situation is thousends times worse than what the official numbers are. 10 cases means 80 000 cases in reality. The entire city
of Shijiazhuang is locked down.

That's weird. I placed an order yesterday (April 14) and I just received notification that it was shipped out today (April 15.) Tracking information
appears to be valid but I guess we'll see.

I've ordered many shipments during those vacations and it never affected my shipments. So I wouldn't be very vary, unless they stop responding.

Well, Ebay is telling me in big red letters, that I can order, but they are on vacation, and my shipment may be delayed. Additionally, the date of
return from vacation, keeps being extended.
Oh well. I have water, electricity, and a house full of food. I can control that.
China is beyond my control, and beyond my ability to prognosticate.
The most productive thing I can do, is have a cup of hot cocoa, and read the Science Fiction Book, I've got sitting here.
I'll order, when they "return" from "vacation". I'm just not a completely "trusting" individual.

I have ordered stuff from deschem many times when the "On vacation until xxx" message is displayed.
It have not made any difference and the orders have been shipped fast anyway.
I dont think you have to worry, i would just order as usual if not the "vacation until xxx" date was long time in future.
Im about to get a delivery of items from Deschem in a few days that were ordered when the vacation message was displayed.
This order was shipped day after the orderdate even though they were at vacation.
It seems even when on vacation they have someone working taking care of orders.

I've NEVER had a thing to complain about with either deschem or nanshinglass (i suspect they are the same....)

Nanshinglass is actually the only other glass company I've ordered(by accident actually) and they were just as good.
With the service only though, I guess I've broken every single piece of that order by now, unlike with the deschem stuff, but its been just a few
pieces unlike my deschem stuff.

FYI my tracking # is valid. I can see it moving through China. I'm not sure if the vacation message actually means anything. I would just place the
order if you're waiting on this status message. If, for some reason, they screw you over, then just request a refund through PayPal.

That was a really quick one. Did you use the standard delivery?
I need to finally get some 24/29 glassware as I am dealing with 29/32 and even if it's nothing bad with that I don't want to deal with so many
adapters. 29/32 glassware is much more expensive. I made some small deals with Nanshin and Deschem and their quality/price ration is really nice.

My order arrived today (east coast USA), 1 week after ordering. I think this is a new record for shipping from China. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks.

Well, rather than speculating..... I sent Deschem a message via Ebay.
They got back to me right away. No problems on that end.
They claim they can get an order out, in two days!
