Acylal and "ketylal" properties
Can anyone link any literature regarding the synthesis and reactivity of "Acylals" and "Ketylals" (geminal diesters/dicarboxylates)? They seem like
they would be useful reagents but I can find very little information on acylals (aldehyde derivatives) and no information on "ketylals" (ketone
derivatives).

I'm pretty sure I've seen something about cinnamaldehyde diacetate somewhere....

Please remember: "Filtrate" is not a verb.
Write up your lab reports the way your instructor wants them, not the way your ex-instructor wants them.
