Experiences with SEOH or Karter Scientific / Lake Charles?

I'm about to place an order of glassware (flasks, beakers, test tubes, watch glasses, evap dish, vac. filtration setup) to kick-start my home lab.

Do any of you have any recent experiences with SEOH or Karter Scientific (aka Lake Charles) ?

SEOH has free shipping over $75, I don't think Karter does. SEOH appears to have a much better website and larger selection of items. But they also have some fairly negative reviews online from a few years ago.

Nice thing about Karter is that, according to their website, they offer both off-brand and Corning Pyrex labeled options for flash and beaker kits, both at good prices.

Would love to hear about people's experiences with either, regarding either product quality, shipping time, service, etc.

FYI I would be ordering directly through KarterSci.com or seohcorp.com, not via ebay or Amazon

I have bought SEOH equiment via amazon but haven't dealt with them directly.
I have seen karter stuff on amazon as well but I don't think I bought anything with their brand.

I didn't have any issues with the SEOH stuff.
That is however anecdotal, I didn't build out a lab from their equipment.
I buy a mix of cheap crap for disposables like beakers and test tubes
while spending more on things like beakers for use with dangerous chemicals and experiments.

If your life depends on it not breaking buy quality.
If it is disposable then buy the cheaper stuff.
There is a good write up "life after detonation" on why you should never use cheap beakers in critical situations.

I think I have bought from both over the years and did OK. I think Lake Charles was the one who did not pack stuff great, but it was OK.
