I have dealt with stoichiometric_steve a few times and had good experiences. The only trouble that came up was on my end when I changed my mind about
an item after it had already been purchased, but he refunded my money and things were good.
I would recommend him.
Also, granules sound a lot better than powder.

Any idea how well this NaBH4 will keep? I purchased 50 grams of NaHBH4 some years ago (a fine powder), but it has become one big lump, really hard to
handle. It still is quite active, but the lump is so hard that it is not possible to scrape off some of the material with a standard plastic spatula
or scoop. I purchased another amount (25 grams) more recently, but this also tends to get hard and difficult to handle. So, now I am inclined to not
buy it anymore, despite the fact that it is a really interesting chemical.

You should be able to put it in a ziploc bag and un-lump it with a hammer.
Please remember: "Filtrate" is not a verb.

Not if the material is in a glass bottle with a somewhat narrow open end. I have to shatter the glass, but then I get little pieces of glass in the
material.

Shaking it won't break the lumps, I presume?

What about dissolving it in aqueous dilute NaOH? Such solutions are moderately stable (and are commercially available). You could also partially
dissolve it but leave the rest as a solid lump in the existing container for future use.

The problem is, that it slowly hydrolyzes in solution. First I thought, that you could probably use Methanol, because its quite soluble in it(130g/L)
but even in Methanol it slowly decomposes.
Acording to wikipedia a solution in MeOH decomposes completly in about 90 Minutes at 20°C

I always thought this was an interesting purification using water, where they claim precipitation of anhydrous sodium borohydride.

The granules keep surprisingly well, of course they also harden a bit over time, but not nearly as much as as powder would.
That's why my initial purchase was that big, but i don't have any use for it anymore, hence the sale.

Well I offered 100Euro for half a kg (ie. 200Euro/kg), is that blatantly lowballing??
You do offer it for 150Eur/kg in this sell ad, right?
You said you wanted something around 200Euro for 500g (ie 400Euro/kg).
I didnt find this price ok so i offered what i seemed reasonable, especially since it was more than you ask for in this sell post.
But it´s OK, keep your stuff.
I can live without it.
But others might be interested to know that the price isnt the advertised one, its 266% more.
