Chromium 6 in EU
I see on the reach site that these compounds are on the authorisation list. Does this mean that you are not allowed to have them anymore, or this
thing applies just for companies?

You can get hexavalent chromium, but you will likely have to complete an end use declaration.

These lists are for use in domestic products, indented for use in households, e.g. for cleaning, for hobby-purposes, such as arts, or for enhancements
of the house. They do not say much about the pure chemical, intended to be used as lab reagent.
In NL, hence, you can still buy these chemicals as lab reagent, but OTC-products, containing the listed chemicals, disappear from the shelves and also
cannot be ordered online anymore. Of course, individual suppliers may decide not to sell such chemicals to citizens anymore. I know of a few suppliers
in NL, who even ceased selling 30% HCl to citizens, because of its corrosive nature.
Some EU-states may add additional rules of their own. I think that the UK and also Germany are more strict. In Germany, chemicals with T+ marking,
apparently cannot be purchased anymore by private individuals.

Here in UK, if it is not on the EPP list then I consider it OK to buy, store, use etc.

https://echa.europa.eu/authorisation-list
https://echa.europa.eu/support/qas-support/browse/-/qa/70Qx/...
The first link contains the list
The second link contains some questions.
Ctrl+F there Is there any tonnage threshold below which Annex XIV substances are exempted from the authorisation requirement?
And there they basically say that there is no tonnage threshold below which a use of an Annex XIV substance is exempted from authorisation
Still there is this phrase which you can Ctrl+Foes the exemption for the use
of Annex XIV substances in scientific research and development (SRD) under Article 56(3) of REACH also apply to analytical activities such as
monitoring and quality control?
This basically limits it to 1 tonne per year. So basically what is the rule ?
