A Charge-Transfer Complex?
I recently stumbled upon a substance that can form a charge transfer complex. I know what it is, but I have a few questions regarding them.
I know this much:
A charge transfer complex in organic chemistry is a molecule capable of acting as a conduit for electrons by having a component that accepts electrons
and a component that donates electrons. This leads me to believe that some CT Complexes could be conductive.... I would like to know a lot more about
these things from professionals like the people around here. Are there conductive CT Complexes? Even more, are there efficiently conductive CT
complexes? Is it possible for an organic molecule to have one side as the reduced side and another as the oxidized side where when an electron passes
through the reduced side, the side oxidizes and makes the other side reduced?
