What do you guys think of my science fair project

I am doing a science fair project to see if there is a relationship of an oxidant's half cell potential and the brightness of the light produced when it is mixed with a luminol/K3Fe(CN)6.

I will be measuring the light using a LDR.

Here is the oxidants I will be using (all 0.001mol eq)

Nitric Acid
Hydrogen Peroxide
Potassium Iodate
Potassium Bromate
Sodium Periodate
Ammonium Perchlorate

What do you think

The fall of Rome, the fall of Germany — the fall of the ruling country, the people who think they can do whatever they want without anybody else's consent. I've seen this story before."~Maynard James Keenan

It's as if he doesn't live in a British English country. Oh wait, he doesn't - our country forgot how to speak English years ago :P

I vote Ammonium perchlorate, because it'll probably smell the worst.

Mewrox99 please tell me that it wasn't the NZ school system that taught you to miss-spell the 16th element on the periodic table, but rather it was the result of a saturated diet of American TV. If the answer is yes then I will have a word to my school teacher wife! ;)

Mewrox your sig has gone?

I feel bad now.

Scientists of all kinds will always argue over pedantic semantics :P

Ironically it was the school spelling it sulphur that annoyed me.

Something about the seeing 'Sulphuric' Acid really strongly irritated me.

Anyway you weren't the reason I got rid of the sig. I just thought it was a tad silly.

Fair enough, each to their own! No disrespect meant to either you or the US spelling. Although I purposely spell such names as "Vodafone" as Voder-phone” because I feel such spelling is a blatant attack on the English language (tongue in cheek of course:D:D).

Sounds like a great project. I have to ask did you purchase these chemicals privately or as part of the education system?

It amuses me when people try to connect to vodaphone servers and wonder why they aren't working.

Aw. Too busy?

Probably a good thing, or else there might not be anything left for the science fair :P
