Bio-Rad FTs-40
I've acquired an FTIR, a Bio-Rad FTS-40 with the attached computer. It needs compressed air to float the air bearing. I would like to check it out
to see if it works, what is a cheap, quick and dirty way to hook up air to this?
I found a note for the FTS-7000 which says the air flow needed will be about 10-15 liters/min, can I get this from a compressed gas cylinder?
It appears to have a regulator inside and a sticker that says 'Keep to less than 20 PSI'.
Does anyone out there have experience with this spectrometer?
I looks like it needs water to keep something cool also, how critical is this?

Best would be dry filtered air, so no oils and or water vapor can get in and gum things up.
