Any One Looking For Tellurium Metal
I have some Tellurium Metal 99.7%, in broken chunk form.
Anyone interested in buying some?
10 g for $20
Much cheaper for larger amounts.
It is a neat zinc colored brittle metalloid. It is the heaviest non-radioactive member of the oxygen family. Really Cool Stuff! Also very toxic
(similar to arsenic) so handle very carefully!! Melt it in a fume hood only.
There are a couple neat color corordination complexes that can be formed with sulphuric acid with this metalloid. These experiments are realatively
safe if you use only milligram quantities.

Far too expensive. Te was at 14 $/pound a while ago; there is speculation about it reaching $$$; but it's a byproduct of other large industries
(Cu-refining, eg.); So keep it ..., since even though it is rarer than platinum, it's much better concentrated and easier produced ... since nature
did the largest part of that work and deposited the Te, so human can get it.
Besides there could be some Bismuthe-Telluride in any peltier-devices ... for free ...

A few years ago I purchased 40 grams of Te (small irregularly shaped granules, appr. 2 mm diameter, purity 99.99%) for $20 from an eBay seller. Much
more expensive than $14 per pound, but still a lot cheaper than $20 per 10 grams. My Te is very pure, that may have added to the price of course.
